Skin Regeneration.
Stem-cell, exosome and growth-factor protocols built to repair, not resurface. Every treatment in this pillar uses the body's own cellular signalling — or signals it precisely — to rebuild the matrix that ageing erodes.
The protocols
6 treatments in this pillar.
-
Lumara Signature Exosome Facial Signature
Microneedling delivery, proprietary plant-derived exosomes, LED finish. The treatment the clinic was built around.
-
Stem Cell Skin Protocol
A four-session course combining exosome therapy, growth-factor delivery and the proprietary Lumara skincare range.
-
Polynucleotides for Skin
Salmon-DNA injectable that improves skin quality from within. Particularly effective on the under-eye and neck.
-
PRP for Skin
Autologous platelet-rich plasma — your own blood, spun and reapplied — for skin quality and tone.
-
PRF Biofiller
Second-generation autologous regenerative treatment. Slower release, more sustained signal than PRP.
-
Microneedling with Exosomes
A precise, light-touch version of the Signature protocol — well-suited to first-timers and maintenance.
How we approach skin regeneration
A clinical philosophy, not a menu.
Skin doesn't need to be re-finished — it needs to be re-instructed. Where most clinics in Marylebone default to filler or laser, we start with the cellular signalling pathways that hold collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid in place. The work is quieter, the protocol is longer, and the results compound.
- 01
Consultation
A fifteen to thirty minute conversation, in person or by video. We map the concern, take baseline imaging where useful, discuss what is realistic, and explain what we would and would not recommend, and why.
- 02
Bespoke protocol
Every protocol is calibrated to the individual: depth, product choice, sequencing. The plan is documented so the same standard is delivered at every session, by the same practitioner.
- 03
Continuing care
We follow up at the meaningful comparison point, usually four to six weeks for regenerative work and two weeks for injectables. We re-image, adjust, and agree the maintenance cadence on your timetable.
Frequently asked
Skin Regeneration, in plain English.
What does 'regenerative' actually mean, and how is it different from a facial?
Conventional facials and peels work on the surface of the skin: they exfoliate, hydrate and brighten the upper layers. Regenerative protocols work deeper, instructing the cells responsible for collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid to behave like younger cells. The visible result builds over four to six weeks rather than appearing overnight, and it compounds across treatments. The two are complementary, but only one of them changes the trajectory of how your skin ages.
Are exosome treatments legal in the UK?
Topical exosome treatments delivered via microneedling, using plant-derived formulations, are entirely permitted in the UK as cosmetic procedures. Injectable exosomes, particularly human-derived ones, are a serious regulatory concern, which is why we do not perform them. We use plant-derived exosomes only, applied topically. The full reasoning is on our Sources & Regulation page.
How soon will I see results?
Most clients notice subtle change within a fortnight: better light reflection, calmer tone, slightly smoother texture. The meaningful structural change builds over four to six weeks, which is when the fibroblast response peaks. We re-image every client at the four-week mark precisely so the comparison is honest, not flattering.
Can I combine regenerative treatments with Botox or filler?
Yes, and many of our clients do. Regenerative protocols address skin quality; injectables address volume and dynamic lines. They are different problems, solved by different tools. We typically sequence them carefully: regenerative work first to establish a healthier substrate, injectables placed conservatively on top.
Who delivers the treatment?
All regenerative protocols at Lumara are performed by a GMC-registered doctor or NMC-registered senior nurse. The Stem Cell Skin Protocol and PRF Biofiller are doctor-only. We will tell you who is treating you before you book, and no protocol is delegated to a non-medical practitioner.
Is regenerative work safe during pregnancy?
No. We do not perform any regenerative protocol, including exosome therapy, polynucleotides, PRP, PRF or microneedling, during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. We are happy to keep your records open and resume the moment you are ready.
