What is the Recovery IV Drip?
The Recovery IV Drip is an infusion designed to support hydration and recovery around a demanding event, whether that is travel, a wedding, or simply a heavy stretch of work. It combines fluids with antioxidants and electrolytes to help you feel more like yourself. As with all our drips, it is a support rather than a cure, and it works best when the rest of your recovery, sleep, food and water, is also in place.
How it works
A registered medical professional delivers the infusion over roughly 45 to 60 minutes through a fine cannula. Rehydration and electrolyte balance are the most reliable benefits; the antioxidant component supports the body's recovery processes. The intravenous route restores hydration faster than drinking alone, which is where most of the felt benefit comes from.
Who it's for
Clients who want focused support around a specific event or recovery window. It is popular before significant occasions and after long-haul travel. It is not a treatment for an underlying medical problem, and we will direct you to appropriate care if that is what is needed.
The Lumara protocol
We recommend the Recovery drip only where it serves a clear purpose, and we will tell you when it is not necessary. Every infusion is administered in clinic by a registered medical professional, with screening beforehand.
Aftercare
Continue to hydrate and rest. There is no downtime, and most clients feel the hydration benefit the same day. Mild bruising at the cannula site occasionally occurs and resolves within a few days.
Frequently asked
Recovery IV Drip, in plain English.
Can I have this the morning of an event?
Yes. The Recovery drip is often booked ahead of a significant occasion. Allow around an hour in clinic, plus a little time to settle afterwards.
Is this a hangover cure?
We avoid that framing. The drip supports hydration and recovery, which can help you feel better, but it is not a licence to overdo it and it is not medical treatment for alcohol's effects.
